We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and protecting natural resources. Our approach includes responsible marine sourcing, eco-friendly business practices and the use of renewable energy across our operations.

Seawit integrates responsible sourcing, certified quality systems, renewable energy use and advanced lipid innovation to support a more sustainable global nutrition supply chain.

From wild sea-caught fish oil to algae-based Omega-3 alternatives, we work to improve transparency, reduce environmental impact and support long-term resource responsibility.

Responsible Marine Sourcing

Responsible Marine Sourcing

Seawit sources fish oil raw materials from traceable and responsible supply chains. We predominantly use certified Peruvian anchovy oil. Some of our fish oils are derived from by-products of the fish canning industry, supporting waste reduction and more efficient use of resources.


We are committed to supporting sustainable fisheries, the conservation of fish species and the protection of aquatic ecosystems for future generations. Our practices are aligned with recognised standards and industry initiatives, including MarinTrust, Friend of the Sea, and membership in IFFO and GOED.

The SMETA Four-Pillar Audit is widely used by international companies to assess responsible business practices globally.

Seawit has completed SMETA audits for consecutive years, achieving full marks in the Environment pillar. This demonstrates strong environmental management, effective control of resources, waste and emissions, and a continued commitment to reducing the environmental impact of our operations.

Towards Carbon Neutrality

Towards Carbon Neutrality

Carbon neutrality is a long-term goal for Seawit. Our oil and powder manufacturing facilities are located in coastal regions with strong access to offshore wind and solar power, and more than 50% of the energy used in production comes from clean energy sources.


For algae oil fermentation, the majority of electricity used is also sourced from clean energy. We continue to improve resource efficiency across our operations, including the reuse of treated wastewater for industrial cooling and wetland conservation, and the use of production by-products in animal nutrition.


Through greater use of clean energy, water reuse and by-product utilisation, we are working towards lower emissions, reduced waste and, ultimately, carbon-neutral operations.
